I'm really enjoying my book of essays. They are ALMOST as good as short stories for the Read-a-Thon! Since each one deals with a unique subject, I don't feel like I'm reading the same thing for an extended period of time. Plus Angela Carter's writing is fantastic.

I haven't been able to convince my husband to bring me some food, so I think I'll pop in a frozen pizza for lunch!

Essays seem like a great read-a-thon choice. Being a slow reader, feeling like I'm stuck in a long book about *gasp* the same stuff all day is kind of a downer, even if I'm enjoying it, so the mix of topics is probably great.

Too bad the hubs won't bring you any food - enjoy your pizza and your reading! =)
