Top of Hour Five

Things are going well so far. I got to visit a bunch of new blogs and some cool people have stopped by and wished me well, too. Thanks guys! I haven't yet participated in any mini-challenges, but let's see what the rest of the day brings.

Title of book(s) read since last update: The Best American Short Stories of 2008
Number of books read since you started: part of one
Pages read since last update: 50
Running total of pages read since you started: 120
Amount of time spent reading since last update: About an hour and a half
Running total of time spent reading since you started: (keep track of this one to be eligible for a prize!) Three and a half hours
Mini-challenges completed: 0 yet
Other participants you’ve visited: Eva, Carl V., Anna and the Girl, debnance, Alaine, and Fantaghiro...more soon to come!
Prize you’ve won: 0 yet
What I've eaten: Peanut M&M's; instant mashed potatoes (I don't know, the cupboards are pretty bare and I was carb-craving!)

I'm about halfway through my book. Looking good! I'm enjoying the stories. They are a good way to get a minute or so mental break in. I stop to digest each story before moving on to the next. Now I'm off to visit some other Read-a-Thoners...

Good call reading the short stories. Seems like a great way to keep reading for along time from getting monotonous.

Short stories seem to be the way to go! As for the mini-challenges, they seem to be really fun - a great way of quickly getting to know one another between books.

Happy reading. I'll come back and visit you again :D
